02 — Barcelona
Gaudí spent decades on a building he knew he’d never see finished. I sat inside it with a friend, looking straight up, and neither of us said anything for a while.
03 — Seville
Plaza de España stopped me mid conversation. Not because it was loud. Because it was precise. Every tile placed like someone actually cared whether you noticed.
04 — El Chorro
This wasn’t on the original plan. It became the best part of the trip anyway. Some detours are the whole point.
05 — Granada
I looked through a carved stone arch at a hillside town, and the arch was more beautiful than most whole buildings I’ve seen.
06 — Segovia
A castle with towers pointed enough to look drawn rather than built.
07 — Ronda
Ronda doesn’t ease you into its drama. The bridge doesn’t cross the gorge so much as dare you to look down.
08 — Toledo
A city that decided a thousand years ago it wasn’t going anywhere, and hasn’t moved since.
